City of Roman Forest Mayor and City Council

Terms Expiring 11/2020:
Council Position 1 – Lori Jo Koepsel
Council Position 3 – David Mullane
Council Position 5 – Conley Wallace

Terms Expiring 11/2021:
Mayor – Chris Parr
Council Position 2 – Jill Carlson
Council Position 4 – Greg Partin

An election will be held on November 3, 2020 for terms ending in November 2020.  All offices are for a two-year term.

Qualifications to run for Mayor and City Council

  •  Must be a citizen of the United States
  •  Must be 18 years of age or older at the commencement of the term to be filled by the election;
  •  Must be a qualified, registered voter in the City of Roman Forest
  •  Mayor: Must be a resident of Texas for twelve (12) months and the City of Roman Forest for at least twelve (12)            months prior to the date of filing;
  •  City Council: Must be a resident of Texas for twelve (12) months and a resident of the City of Roman Forest for at     least six (6) months prior to the date of filing;
  •  Must not be under an adjudication of mental incompetence;
  •  Must not have been convicted of a felony for which he/she has not been pardoned or had Civil rights restored by     other official action.

Filing Period

An application for a place on the general election ballot are available on the Secretary of State’s website at https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections as well as in the office of the City Secretary. Applications are to be submitted to that office between July 18, 2020 and August 17, 2020 by 5:30 p.m. Polling locations will be posted to this webpage as soon as they are determined. Election information may also be found on the Montgomery County election website at https://elections.mctx.org/.
